Referral discount program

We want to reward people who refer others to our website and go on to take on a service with us. The telco industry is awash with deals and offers many of which turn out to be not quite as good as people expect, unfortunately by then term contracts have been signed etc. Because of this people often take what offers we have (such as the free, no obligation, 7 day trial) and put them into the “too-good-to-be-true” basket. We give the 7 day trial because we believe our service will sell itself once people actually give it a go. We acknowledge that changing internet provider has probably in the past been a stressful experience. The trust others have in your advice can alleviate this.

So how does it work?

Nationwide we offer a $50 credit to the account of the referrer. On top of that we also welcome the referred customer with a further $25 account credit. This account credit can be used as a recharge or you can choose to use it towards a Static IP lease. Its up to you! Because we know that we have already received a number of referrals to us and we want to reward those people who have already done this for us (thanks guys really!), we will allow existing clients to tell us (via the portal of course) who referred them so that person can also get the discount.

However there are a few of rules (of course!)

  1. This credit is only received if both the person referred to us and the person who referred them are both on the new plans (plans since April 2018). So if you’re on the Legacy plans you may want to consider moving.

  2. We are not going to allow referral “loops”, in simple terms person A can’t say they were referred by person B and person B say they were referred by person A. This clearly did not actually happen! 🙂 You may want to decide between you who gets the referral discount or bonus!

  3. With the referral system, it is a way for us to give back to customers for kind words shared between friends and family. This does mean that if we find actions that go against the fair use of the referral system, we may remove referrals and credit from the account.

  4. We encourage customers to be creative and choose a referral code that suits them, though we reserve the right to change inappropriate or offensive referral codes without prior notice. We'll reach out and let you know if this occurs, however!

  5. Your account credit will appear once the person you have referred has $50 in recharges on their account (cumulative) and are off the free trial period.

How to set up Referral Codes

All you need to do is go into your portal and under MY ACCOUNT and you will see a ‘Set your own referral code’ to give out. Simply an easy to remember code 5 – 15 alphanumeric characters) that you can give to people you refer to us. Our recommendation is that you are totally up front about what you are getting out of this.

We will also give you a personal “signup” URL to give them. When the person signs up and buys a service from us, we will give you a referral bonus. They can in turn also set up a referrer code to give to their friends.We will be letting the person who is doing the referring (i.e. recipient of the discount) know the names (but not contact details) of the people that have become clients of Launtel. We will make this clear during the signup process.
