Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the most common queries regarding our residential/home internet offerings
Unfortunately no, we do not supply a router. This is because we don’t do any contracts (at all!) and have the pause feature, which makes it a bit tricky. You can bring your own router and configure it for our network though and we will also gladly give you recommendations to suit your needs and tech type.
If you’re already with an ISP and want to swap over to us right away, you can request a churn (transfer) using your current AVCID which can have you connected with us on the same day! If you’re cancelling with your current provider first, it’s always good to make sure you’re not under contracts before swapping to Launtel.
Having our system as a prepaid service ties into being able to pause your service or change your speed tier on the fly. This means the charge for the day can be taken and applied through your balance without any extra input on your end. This is also part of our no-contract policy to ensure there’s no lock-in contracts for our services.
The main difference between Pause and Standby is when you Pause a service, it becomes disconnected, and there’s normally a waiting period which can range from 2-48 hours to reconnect it, whereas Standby keeps the service active on the lowest possible daily cost and can be modified which is a bit quicker than an unpause.
